Today was pretty awesome. We kicked it off with a burger at one of mom's favorite Canadian fast food joints: Harvey's...where you can pick your own fresh toppings for your burger. Unreal. She made me laugh when the guy went to put tomatoes on her burger and she told him "no no sir, please use nicer tomatoes for me...the one you chose has the white part in the middle and I don't like that part". Boobie and Aunt Debi followed with the same pickey tomato requests while I just looked at the poor sucker behind the counter and messaged wiht my eyes "sorry for bringing these princesses in here today"!
We later went back to Boobie's house for an afternoon of playtime on the red carpet. My last day for this trip to Toronto...tear. To make it extra memorable I was showing the ladies my latest moves...standing freestyle. NOT holding on to a thing. I gave them a baby step before reverting back to crawling which is just easier right now...Boobie and Aunt D were all over me for this...I was being ridiculously cute.
Next stop: Aunt Marissa's for my first Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner. She made a gorgeous turkey and the most delectable sides! Not to mention Ellen and her family joined us with squash soup and other goodies in hand...while Aunt Mandy made an incredible salad with strawberries, goat cheese and candied pecans!! Ok so I couldn't eat the pecans...but that turkey...man oh man! I gobbled it up like it was going out of style while Aunt Mandy was holding me and making me laugh very hard. So being a dual citizen is already paying off as I get to have 2 thanksgivings!! How awesome is that? Jealous? You should be! So now I've got one down...and one in November to go!!
After filling up on all of that scrumptious food I hit the ground running...well crawling...really, really fast. Literally. I had nothing but energy to burn...where do I get it from you ask? My mom!! Need some exercise? Spend an hour with moi...guarantee I'll shed you a few pounds. My cousins, aunts, Boobie Vici, you name it had a ball chasing me around. In the midst of all of this action, my cousin Carly was dying to see me walk. So she set up a ring by sitting on the floor with Uncle Jason and kept calling me to come her way...ok ok! I'll do it! Here we go...2 steps forward baby!! I did it!! I took a quick walk!! Mom tried to catch it on tape...but it was too late.
The deed was done and I had enough of these monkeys shouting at me to walk...so we called it quits and got on the road so I could go to bed. And of course I passed out the second Ma put the key in the car's ignition.
It was really sad to say good bye but it's time to return to New York to see Papa. I am beginning to forget what he looks like! I missed him terribly this week and wished he could have shared in all of my Canadian fun but know he had a blast golfing in Ireland! I can't wait to see him tomorrow and hear all about his trip...till tomorrow Papa...fly safely!
Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends...hope you had a great day today.
