Mom and Uncle Dov and I started the week of with an outting to Maialino. It's a hip new restaurant in the Gramercy Park hotel and even though I was dead tired and it was during my nap time (by which Mom was hoping to enjoy a peaceful meal with a sleeping baby...) I had to be a part of the action! So I got out of the stroller and into one of the very cool high chairs that they provided me with. My hair was something to write home about...going for the mad scientist look when Ma pulled off my snow hat. We ordered the scrambled eggs and ricotta pancakes - both out of this world. Jenny arrived from Toronto that afternoon and we spent our time together shopping and eating. We then made our way out to the house for the remainder of the week kicking it off out there with a delicious meal at La Parmiagana in Southampton where I indulged in salad, chicken parm and spaghetti....
The rest of the days consisted of drooling and strolling along in my big red wagon with my foo foo and Elmo while we clapped to his music together.
We also played a good amount of cards and board games....
And made tons of delicious meals! My favorite being Christmas dinner:
Mom's famous citrus and herb roast turkey
Jen's famous caesar salad with homemade croutons and Mom's bread
Garlic smashed potatoes
Green beans sauteed with almonds
Corn pudding
Homemade tiramisu and cake balls for dessert: to celebrate Granny's bday (which is on the 28th)
Joining us for dinner was Uncle Allan and Aunt Ellen - what a treat it was to have them at our table!
We topped off the festive evening with gifts galore, Christmas jammies and a warm and cozy snuggle with my papa. What a great week it's been - thanks to everyone who made it special....And a very Merry Christmas to all of my fans! Love you tons ~ Gavin
