Now I'm a little baby and I don't know much, however I do know when it's hot and when it's cold. Well Palm Springs was HOT and LA is...not cold...but cool for the summertime! What's the deal? And WHY is there so much traffic in this city??!! Mom, Grandma and I went out to breakfast nearby the hotel this morning. We walked around for a bit and then went back to the hotel to chill. Mom then took me to meet her friend Pam. Pam is Jenn's sister and she used to live in NYC. Remember Jenn? She's Jakes mom - they live in toronto - stay with me here. So Pam works at MGM and her office is filled with Acadamy awards - ok I don't know much about movies yet...but I know that these things are pretty cool! So mom made me snap a shot in front of the famous wall of em...ok so here you go...oy - let's move on!
We quickly left the building to get as much time out together as possible. We started at this place called Joan's on 3rd. Very cool spot. It's like a restaurant version of Pusatari's (toronto upscale grocery store) or Dean & Deluca (New York upscale grocery store in soho). We had a lovely lunch and then hit 3rd street for some shopping. Of course we found an adorable kids store to go in...mom bought me some stuff on sale and then I somehow found myself in a photo shoot as my Mom and Pam were discussing starting a business for kids shots - omg...
After our afternoon of fun with Pam, Mom and I went back to the hotel and she started getting ready. I was a little confused as to why she was getting dressed to go out and I was still in my grundegy day clothes? Well it seems that she was going out - without me! Huh?! It was the rehearsal dinner for Ben and Heather. Adults only. Fooey, I thought! So some lady shows up and Mom says she's going to hang out with me for the night. I wasn't overly thrilled by this. I figured why make it easy for this lady? How about I cry every hour on the hour after she puts me to bed? That would be a fun game!
Meanwhile...Mom and Dad were having a blast at the Sunset Tower hotel - site of Ben and Heather's dinner for the night before their big night!
They had some drinks, a great meal and listened to some hilarious speeches. Dad surprised Ben and Heather by calling Mom up during his speech to do a skit of Seth and Amy's "really"? I know this because they practiced on me 100 times...it was really funny! The best speech however, was the one made by Betsy - Ben's mom. She told a story about how when Ben was in grade school and was learning sex ed was asked what's your greatest asset? and he said, "my penis". Please remember this for tomorrow's entry...you'll see why.
When Mom and Dad got home that night I missed them so much I begged them to let me play. They were trying to go to sleep and I thought it would be fun to nibble on their noses and roll over their backs. Finally...off to bed now...need to rest up for the big event tomorrow...the reason why we're here!
