The day started early. Too early to even tell you. I woke up to my Mom rumaging around in my room. She swooped me outta bed, put my coat on over my jammies and into a car we went. We arrived at the airport with not a moment to spare, got changed into a clean diaper and clothes and got on the plane. For this trip my mom and dad got me my own seat...and brought my trusty car seat. Brilliant guys...brilliant! I hit it so hard the second the plane took off. Slept for just over an hour, played for another hour and then found myself roaming through the Miami International airport. We went to have lunch, clean up and buy a magazine. As dad was purchasing an US Weekly so I could catch up on Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynold's latest love affair, we heard "will the KERTZNER party of 3 please come to gate D22 for a final boarding call". We were around gate D44. OMG. Dad dropped the mag and bolted while Mom ran her fastest (which is not very fast) using my stroller to help with the momentum to get to the gate that was pretty far away! As we were pulling up to the gate Papa was looking stressed and the flight attendant was waving his hand at us like it was too late. I couldn't come to terms with the thought of missing our flight...but thankfully...the plane was still there!! They called us to board b/c the rest of the plane had boarded (SO EARLY!) but we still had some time to get on. Wow wee. That was the most exercise my mom has done since the 90's. I thought she was going to pass out...We got off the plane and into the warm, breezy St. Lucia air and it was heavenly. We were greeted by a driver and told that we were a good hour away from the resort. We knew this going in so we couldn't complain...just get us there buddy. We're ready to eat and go to bed!
Again I passed out and woke up in the most beautiful resort I've ever seen....to then be taken up to our room (which was supposed to be a 1 bedroom...hence I'd be sleeping in the den...) turning out to be a 3 bedroom/4 bathroom out of control suite. Sweet Jesus...
We enjoyed a bayside dinner while watching football and then hit the hay, hard. Stay tuned for more stories, pics of the room, resort and me in my snazzy new swim trunks tomorrow.
Oh...and GO JETS!
