What can I say? I'm one lucky duck...and my parents are even luckier. I get to go on the coolest vacation ever....and my parents get to travel with a son who is incredibly well behaved, fun and adorable. Not so shabby!
Our first day in St. Lucia started off with breakfast, dancing in the apartment we're staying in, kicking around the soccer ball (naked)...then eating lunch.
The staff here is incredibly friendly and can't get enough of my shtick. We even discovered that one of the staff members is also named Gavin!
We continued back to the room because after all of that action I was tired and thought it would be wise to take a 3 hour nap. A 3 hour nap?! ROCK ON! My mom and dad took advantage of this precious time and played a few games of Boggle (Dad whooped mom's butt), read some mags and took a nap themselves! When we all woke up we were refreshed and ready to get our swim suits on. Had a snack and then to the beach we went!
I have been to the beach several times in the past...but haven't had a chance to appreciate it yet. Today was different. I sat in the sand, ate some sand and went into the deep blue water on my own terms. It was so fabulous. I had a ball!
There were some cute chicks hanging around the beach and I didn't waste anytime getting to know them. Daisy the 2 year old (other gals Poppy, 4 and Rosie, 6) took to me the best. Guess cause she's closest to my age. That works. I stick out my tongue, she does it back. Good times.
After my rendezvous we went back to the room and got cleaned up. The bathed and the beautiful...
Mom and Dad took me to get some food - a delicious kids meal of chicken fingers and fries (including dipping them into ketchup...my latest trick) and off to bed I went. I was so pooped. Little did I know...Mom and Dad snuck out to go for a romantic dinner on their own...while I hung back sleeping with the sweet babysitter Sheryl watching out for me. I didn't make a peep. Easy night for Sheryl, fun night for mom and dad! Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store...
