On the road again…
So we hit the road on Saturday morning. I got to spend the day with Granny and Poppi and we had so much fun together! They bought me a Mets hat and matching onesie – can’t wait for the baseball season to start!
Mom and dad picked me up around 2pm and we went home to eat. Aunt Alicia came over and funny…I found myself being packed up and put back in the car again! Where the hell are we going now Ma?? And why isn’t Papa coming?
I fell asleep in the back of the car…as per my usual routine…and found myself BACK IN BROOKLYN! Ma carried me up the stairs and in we walked into Chez Guncles. Since the Guncles live over the bridge and basically run a bed and breakfast she thought why not take the trip and spend another night there – we get a pretty good deal there – our room is FREE! HA! Papa had a bachelor party dinner for Ben in the city and was going to be out really late so mom thought it would be fun to grab Aunt Alicia and visit the Guncles for the night! I mean – why not? They cook for us and clean up – we don’t need to lift a finger! Well when we arrived I was greeted by some special guests…Chris’s sister Steph, her husband Matt and baby Gracen were there to meet me!! Gracen is such a beauty and super chill. No wonder Ma put me in a snazzy outfit! I was enamored with Baby Gracen…I tried to grab her legs, suck her face and eat her hand. Oh the things we babies can get away with…
Chris was cooking away for the gang. He set a beautiful table scape and then he and JC served up a delicious meal. For dinner: salad, skirt steak, scalloped potatoes and potato/chive bread. Um, YUM! I will get to eat this for breakfast tomorrow…and I cant wait!
I had a really great night sleep at the Guncle’s bed and breakfast and woke up to the smell of baked eggs, biscuits and bacon. After breakfast we hit the road and went back to the Island of Manhattan. When we got home I thought, cool! Time to relax. WRONG! Run run run! Mom was running around the apartment getting it ready for brunch. Are you kidding me ma? She told me that my friends were coming over and then I got pretty excited! In the BB’s (mom’s mommy group – bowery babes) she met a woman named Bess. Bess has a son named Sam. He’s 2 months older then me. Bess told mom they have a mutual friend and it turns out this friend is the wife of one of dad’s traders! Small world! Mom had dinner with Lisa and Josh back when she was pregnant with me…and couldn’t tell anyone yet…well at this dinner, Lisa was pregnant and in the same situation! Now we’re all on the other side…and I’m a lucky boy b/c Lisa and Josh had twin girls! Lila and Jamieson and they are so cute! We had a lovely brunch and a ball hanging out together!
Well just when you think it’s all over…the fun continues! After a couple hours of rest (see photo of me sleeping on the floor while Mama showered and got cleaned up) and a hearty lunch Mom got me packed up and back in the car! This time, we were going to the Schragers house. Mom and Dad are very close with Alan and Viktoria and I had yet to meet their kids Sammy and JR. The boys had a ball with me! They were giving me kisses and hugs and played ball with Papa. It was so nice to hang with them!
I’m not going to lie to you. I am totally exhausted! I’m off to bed now. Enjoy the Oscars! Mom will catch me up on the outfits and winners over breakfast tomorrow…can’t wait!
