Today was super fun! Mom and I met up with Aunt Karen and cousin Cooper at the Jewish Museum for a Curious George exhibit. I love monkeys so I really appreciated going to see the creation of this curious character. It was a bit of a ride getting there however...the Jewish Museum is at 92nd and 5th ave. This is a huge trek for Ma and I. So I got into the Ergo and we hopped on the subway. It would have been a very easy subway ride EXCEPT Mom got on the wrong subway and we ended up in Queens and we were 30 minutes late to meet Karen and Cooper. Want to know why we got on the wrong subway? Well, Mom bought an US Weekly on the way out and got so wrapped up in the cover story of Justin Timberlake flirting with Cam Diaz and dumping Jess Biel on her ass again that she didn't pay attention to the subway we were supposed to get on. I cannot blame Ma for this...it really was Justin's fault! Anyhow...we made it and had fun! And on the way out Ma bought me a couple of Curious George books - score! If you're interested - you should check this exhibit out. If you want more info on it Click here!
After the museum we went to grab a bite to eat and I had a slight meltdown. I had it. I didn't want to hear the ladies gab, I wanted to go home and play on my mat! Get real Ma. So we went home and started getting ready for dinner. You would think we could come home and relax after our excursion today, but no. Mom was hosting 4 girls from J.Crew over for dinner because one of them (Colleen) got engaged! So Mom had planned a Zen Themed dinner party and was cooking Asian fusion. Again, I wasn't having this. I wanted to play! So being the talented mother that she is, Mom let me help her cook. She held me in one hand, whisk in other while my hands and feet were dipping into several bowls. At one point we had to take off my socks because I stuck my foot in the bowl of peanut butter which mom was using to make sesame noodles. Oy. Anyway, we got through it and pulled off an incredible meal! Mom even made summer rolls for the girls to nosh on when they got over!
Maggie and Colleen arrived first. They told mom and I the whole story of the engagement. Colleen looks so thrilled and is glowing! I'm very happy for her. Then Michelle and Tish arrived and the gabbing began. This time I didn't care though. I loved being with the ladies. They are all so cute and are gaga over me. I won't lie to you...I love the attention! The problem I had is when Papa came home. He was totally crushing my mojo and embarrassing me by eating my poulkies. So I kicked him in the face to give him a hint...
...and this is where I ended up...ah ya...
You want my digits Michelle? No problem. I'll pick you up on Friday at 8.
The girls told us that the crew from Oprah came into the office today to film Jenna Lyons (the creative director of J.Crew) for a segment that they are doing on dream jobs...airing tomorrow. Stay tuned. I'll try to find it online and post for you to see - very cool!
