April showers brought May flowers

The sun has come out….today!  I’m so happy to be done with snowsuits and beanie hats.  It’s been a breath of fresh air to put on a baseball cap and sun block!  We got back from Toronto early Friday morning.  Mom and I spent the day catching up on some sleep and taking a trip to Whole Foods to get some food for my meals this weekend.  My favorite part of the day is when Papa got home from work and I got to give him a big gummy smile and slobbery drool kiss!     Mom and Dad had been away from each other for a week so they wanted to go out for a bite to eat and catch up.  Mom was craving Ethiopian food and read about a place in the east village.  So I had my sweet potatoes for dinner, got on my jammies and into my stroller I went for our family walk and dinner.  I fell asleep as soon as the wheels hit the NYC pavement.  It was nice to be home though I miss my Toronto family.
Saturday I woke up to the sun shining again and got an early start to the day with Mom while Dad went golfing.  Mom and I went to Grey Dog to meet Jody for breakfast. Then we walked over to the Hudson River for a nap and my lunch by the water.  I had bananas and oatmeal with a side of grass.
We got home early afternoon and hit the ground running.  Quick diaper change and into the Ergo I went.  Off to Tribeca we go to see our friends the Silvers.  I got to hang with Max and Sloan as we went down the Family Tribeca festival to walk around.  It was so much fun that I instantly fell asleep and didn’t wake up till we got to the subway to go home.  HA!
Sunday was another gorgeous day.  Dad took me to – you won’t believe this – Grey Dog.  Is this the only restaurant that serves breakfast in our neighborhood?  Yeesh!  We met Josh and Blakely there.  Blakely and I had a date in our strollers while Josh and Papa gabbed about Josh’s new baby twins who were born last week.  Mazel Tov Neren’s!
We got home and Mom was busy in the kitchen making dinner for the fam.  Granny, Poppi, Aunt Caryn, Uncle Michael and cousin Morgan came over to play.  Mom made an incredibly delicious Paella and everyone devoured it.  Of course she topped off the night with her world famous banana cake (recipe compliments of Aunti Debi)!
What a weekend.  I’m zonked and am off to bed for the night.  Sweet dreams my followers.  I’ll write again soon, I promise.
