Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel

To my dear followers, I do apologize as I did not provide a posting for you yesterday. Between the dreary day filled with rain plus my hungover parents I just didn't get to it. And to be honest...aside from one highlight which I'll share with you now...yesterday was pretty darn boring. Boring until the big explosion that is! So I'm not sure if you know, but I hadn't had a bowel movement for over 1 week. Doc G. told us that babies can go up to 7 days without making a poo. Needless to say I was overdue. I was hanging on Mom's legs, sitting there cooing and staring at her when all of a sudden it happened, I exploded. Mom thought I was crying wolf again...I had released some squirts through the week that got her all excited and were a huge let down when she opened my diaper. Boy was she in for it this time. When she finally took me to my change table to deal with the situation she felt something gooey on her hand...that's right folks, the poo was so intense it leaked right through my diaper and pants....onto Mom's pants too! AHHHH!!! Dad was out and mom was laughing so hard she almost fell over while I just couldn't have been more relieved. Man I needed that poo. It was all over my leg, butt, feet and now change table. It was a real sight. When Dad got home Mom told him the story...and said it's bath time! As we went to the bath, Dad asked me - Gavin, what is that on your foot? Mom looked up close...hmmm...looks like we missed some poop!! HA! Thank god we're going into the bath now!

Unfortunately during my bedtime feeding, Mom decided to watch the season finale of Dexter. HOLY CRAP. Guys - seriously - that show is so amazing! BUT - SO SCARY!!!! I was terrified!! How could they end it that way? OMG! I still can't believe it.
All fresh and clean I woke up this morning after a decent nights sleep and hung out on the bathmat while Mom showered up and got ready. Interesting...I look like a Chiquita banana.
Now it's my turn to get dressed. Can someone tell my mom I'm not a Barbie doll? She likes to dress me up like a total dork. Newsflash Ma - I'm still TOO SMALL for these clothes...sorry!

And then we were off. We had a very productive day today! We walked our usual route through the Union square market to pick up a few veggies for dinner. Then we headed up to J.Crew to get some Christmas gifts. We then somehow found ourselves at the Shake Shack. The week just wouldn't be complete without a shroom burger or 2. It was actually really quite nice out today. Mom got me super bundled but it wasn't that freezing. I was really warm and I liked it...I slept the entire time that we were walking. What a life. On the way home we stopped by the gift fair in Union square and Mom picked up some more Hannukah gifts for me...she is going to wrap them up and surprise Dad when she gives them to me because he will think these two little items are pretty funny...Stay tuned!

When Papa got home from work we lit the candles for the 4th night of Hanukkah with Alicia! She came by to hang out and have dinner with us. I got some awesome gifts tonight! Hunter my buddy got me a dreidel train - SO COOL! My friends Nicole and Jose got me these incredible hand knit booties and Gitty sent me a G for my wall. To top it off Papa got me a piano!

I'm now hanging with Papa watching football. He is on the verge of maybe winning some money in one of his pools? I think? I don't know...I can't keep up. I just like watching those monkeys run around trying to catch that ball.
One last thing for tonight - for those of you who haven't had enough of the picks from Rachie's wedding...here are more from Tim - he got some GREAT shots! Enjoy. Good night ya'll!
